5.2 Installation
5.2.1 The valve shall be checked throughly before installation, the main checking items as follows:
a. Checking the cavity of the valve, especially the sealing surface, checking if dirts attached on it meanwhile checking the sealing surface if damaged.
b. Checking the compressing of the adjustment bolt if proper to ensure the sealing of the cock but not affceting the operation of the valve.
5.2.2 Carefully checking the valve mark if conforms to the requirement of use when installation.
5.2.3 Checking the connection bolts if tightened equally after the valve installed.
5.2.4 The location for which the valve is installed should be convenient for operation and servicing.
5.2.5 After the valve installed, the valve should be fully opened when it is under system and pipeline pressure testing.
5.3 Use
5.3.1 The valve should be fully opened or closed when it is in use, partially open for adjusting the flow is not allowed. |
